Yeah, the new single will be airing this morning at 9:45am on the Austrian Radiostation Ö3 and the album Burning Bridges will come out on August 21st. If it's a compilation or a new band album, nobody knows yet, but it's already listed at amazon.com and amazon.de

Anybody else think 'Burning Bridges' is a reference to the breakdown of Jon and Richie's relationship? I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few songs about it on the new album.

I'm with you on that. And we don't know if it'll be a compilation or not. But I don't think Jon will do a compilation without new songs. He always says that he thinks nobody would just buy a compilation of songs he already has when there's nothing new on it. So even if it's a compilation, I think we'll get at least some new material, too. And with the Asia Tour in September, who knows. Perhaps they'll release the album before it and not in 2016. When they already have 25 songs, why wait for a release?

Quite liking the melody, though it's a kind of song we've heard over and over before. Still, I like it more than most of the stuff on WAN on firsten listen.

Anybody else think 'Burning Bridges' is a reference to the breakdown of Jon and Richie's relationship? I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few songs about it on the new album. I think it's Richie and the rest of the band, not just Jon. If you heard that interview with Hugh that was on some online radio station, he said Richie was family and they loved him but "Richie f-d up." He didn't say "Jon and Richie f-d up." Also, David, Tico, and Hugh are still working with Jon as a band by choice when they could have all decided to end the band at this point. But, yes, to answer your question, I do think the title of the album could be a reference to severing ties between Richie and the rest of the band. It might be a compilation of some sort, emptying the vaults of whatever is left that Richie co-wrote or whatever. That's my pessimistic view at the moment. I enjoyed the new song. I miss the days of song titles like that to start with. It was catchy and positive, what I expect from Bon Jovi.

Hugh also said that it was not about what Richie did but how he did it, which makes a big difference. And, let's be serious, whatever happened, there's no way Hugh would bite the hand that feeds! The same for each and everyone of Jon's employees, it's Jon's band, it's not a democracy, he's been spending >30 years explaining it.
I see this Burning Bridges compilation as a way of doing a tabula rasa from which to move on with the band as a trio. Maybe also a nod to Richie's Every Road Leads Home To You (chorus):
