Anyone know the last time they played Travelin Band live and is the version in Access All Areas live? The last time they played it as a band during a regular show was in Fukuoka in 1995. Afterwards at least Jon sang it during that Carlsberg Tribute show in Wembley in '97: About that AAA video: I'm not sure but always assumed it was half/half. There's a bootleg from that night and it's not entirely the same. The first part is different and might stem from some rehearsal or studio session. I also think the first part was sped up, but by the minute that snippet cuts to the live footage I'm sure it's the live sound (you also notice a change in the sound quality there):

I think both parts are live, but they just add in the audience and footage on the second part. It might be a mix of two different versions like you said. Maybe Hammersmith???

I had actually always been looking at the recordings from the late '88 era since I thought they'd stem from that period. But just checked and the first part really is Hammersmith which then cuts to the Wembley '88 performance. Another mystery solved

It sucks how they stopped playing some of their signature covers or completely change the way they used to perform them.
Not to bring up another Hammersmith topic (considering that it's mentioned in 2 other threads) but I just recently ripped a bunch of the audio off the Access All Areas DVD. It's finally nice to get a decent sounding audio of Seven Days. I also made mixes of songs like Fighter For Love of that blues song they do prior (which I still can't figure out the name of - I even googled the lyrics). Anyway my point is, I actually watched the Hammersmith part on DVD and the clarity is exceptional. It was definitely shot for release and it's such a shame that it was scrapped. This January was the 25th anniversary of its release and that was my last bit of hope we'd get something. At this point, like Kathleen stated in the other thread, I don't even think it's on anyone's radar.
And now with Richie gone, I think that even adds to more complications with these type of past releases. Hypothetical, if they were to release Hammersmith, would We All Sleep Alone be included? I believe he is the reason why Rosie was left off the Jersey Box...

You guys are good! Thanks for the info, that solves that one. Wish they would still do Travellin' Band, Fever and We're An Amercian Band. To be honest I'm surprised we never had a covers album at some stage, not sure if that would be a good thing or not!
